I have a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. Before my time at Centriq, I was a designer for nine years in the corporate world, working with a team to supply the creative need for that company. When I started my career, print was king and as technology advanced there was a strong need for more digitally advanced skill sets. Those events have led to my interest in the developer environment where I can incorporate my design skill set and be able to build something from the ground up.
I am currently looking for an opportunity to grow within a new organization. Throughout high school I took plenty of dual credit courses in about every subject you could imagine and I used those dual credit courses to see what profession I would like to pursue. Following, I realized how big of a passion I have for Information Technology and that is why I went to Centriq Training to further my education as a .NET Developer.
I grew up around Kansas City and after many years in the logistics industry I have made a life choice to change career paths. I could not have made a better decision! I currently attend Centriq training where I am now a full blown addict to my craft. I work hard at understanding the tools I'm going to need in order to land my first job as a developer.
I graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School. Shortly after graduating, I began working in the Food Services Industry, quickly gaining a managerial position, where I was able to learn valuable skills, such as creative problem solving. I realized that I wanted a career that challenged my skill set on a daily basis. I've always had a passion for technology, so I decided to attend Centriq Training's Full-Stack Development program, where I've picked up valuable skills about development.
My experience in the medical field as a pharmacy technician and a paramedic have helped me understand how technology is used in medicine. I also have sales experience as well as being a Co-owner / operator of a General Contracting Company, which has taught me how to communicate clearly and effectively with people. I am currently looking for a growth position as a developer, which would allow me to further develop my programming skills and contribute with a leading technology company.
I am a former student of JCCC, where I majored in video game development. While there I realized my love of coding and aptitude for solving problems. I later decided that I would be better served broadening my knowledge of coding and attended Centriq Training to learn more of .Net development.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science, 10 Years of Customer Service experience, and am currently enrolled in the Centriq Training Full Stack Web Development Program. Being a Full Stack Developer allows me the opportunity to take my ideas, give them form, make them function, and fuel my creativity. I am excellent at problem solving and using the resources that are available to my fullest.
I have always been a tech lover. After high school, I tried to expand my education further through architecture and an Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry. As much as I loved the work, I still felt like I made a mistake in not trying harder to join a tech school. That’s why I made the change and attended Centriq’s full stack web developer course
